Does Cocoa er work for acne scars of African American skin?

Hey, I'm african american and I have quite a few acne scars and I heard cocoa er (the Palmer brand, in particular) works well in helping fade the scars. Has anyone tried it and how long does it take before you start to see an imporvement? Thanks
