If I have a used T-mobile blackberry, do I need to unblock it so that i can use it for AT&T?

I just got this used blackberry from Venezuela and the phone is from T-mobile. Do I have to unblock it so that AT&T will accept it? If I do have to unblock it then how do I do it?
