Girls! What do you think is going on with her?

We are friends and we sit next to each other in cl and in our frees. Last year a rumour got out that we liked each other so she thought i liked her and started acting a bit wierd towards me like pretending i wasn't there. I didn't see her for 2 months coz of summer holidays and when we got back to school she was acting normal with me again. She has also found out that a friend of ours made up the rumour. But a couple of times i see her staring at me and when i look back she looks away. She occasionally says i love you to me but she says it to other friends aswell. Also yesterday we got on the subject of football (AFL) and i said my team was a good chance to make the grand final and she said if we do she is so coming to watch it (even though she isn't interested in sports). She is a difficult person to read if you know what i mean so i cant tell if she likes me or not. We are 17 years old.
